I upgraded my Pi 3B+ to run Bookworm (32 bit version) several months ago and noticed that the screen image is now too large to fit on the TV screen that I've always used as a monitor. Yesterday I decided to do something about this seemingly common problem.
I added overscan_left=40 and overscan_right=40 to /boot/firmware/config.txt but it made no difference. I also commented out anything to do with over scan in the file but that also made no difference. The file has been restored to it's original state.
So, even though this is only a minor irritating problem, is there a cure?
