Just to get your PiHole up and running again I suggest to restore your backup.
If you don't have any ... crossing fingers you get your RPi4 up and running again. But then make sure a backup is created on a regular base.
It's quite uncommon a system doesn't boot any more when the OS was updated. But I also faced this issue recently - unfortunately. Looks like it's not related to the OS update but some application updates which failed after the update. I restored my backup and everything was fine again![Wink ;)]()
