Raspberry Pi OS • Why does vcgencmd measure_temp need admin access now?

I'm wondering why I used to be able to run vcgencmd measure_temp as a regular user before but now I have to run it with sudo.
It's not that big of a deal but I'm wondering why and how to make it not need sudo.

OS: Raspberry Pi OS Trixie, Raspi 4B
