It will be interesting to see if the $60/80 pricepoint will become standard for future Pis. I hope not, but that boat has already sailed. And I hope it keeps backwards compatibility with power supplies and (official) cases and cooling solutions - further keeping costs in check. P5 supporting USB PD standard is also great, giving more options for cost concious consumers.
There seems to be some complaining about Pis not costing $35 any more.

Well, you can still buy a Pi for $35 (or less for the Zero's). Not the latest most powerful one, but you can still buy one. It's simply not possible to sell the Pi 5 with 4GB/8GB of RAM at $35 - because the parts cost more than that. That extra performance needs to be paid for somehow. Prices will be lower for the 1GB/2GB versions when they come out.

Also, if you don't want to buy a new PS, don't - the Pi4 supply will cover many use cases. But the new PS is really good and can be used for other stuff if you want.
