General discussion • Update that Breaks NRF Code ?

Recently (24th of March, 2026) I was working on an NRF24 communication between two RPi 4b boards via NRF24L01 modules.
I have finally managed to fix it (by simply soldering a 10mF capacitor).

Then I had an accident and one of RPi 4b boards was damaged and I had to replace it.
Took some time, but, finally, a month later, around 20th of April, I starting experimenting with NRF24 again.
And, to my surprise, nothing is working.
I have tried multiple solutions:
1. Soldering 10mF capacitors to all NRF24L01 modules
2. Powering NRF24L01 modules from RPi 4b boards directly
3. Powering NRF24L01 modules from a separate 3.3V source (battery) and connecting to RPi 4b via GND
4. Replacing NRF modules
5. Adding special adaptors for those NRF modules
6. Even bought another RPi 4b board
7. Using jumper Dupont wires
8. Using special (more durable) cables instead of generic Dupont wires

Nothing is working.

Then suddenly it had occured to me, what if there has been some update to RPi 4b in recent month that has broken my code ? That has broken the driver that I am using: https://github.com/BLavery/lib_nrf24/bl ... b_nrf24.py ?

Can anyone confirm if there has been an update in recent weeks that could break how NRF24L01 modules would communicate with RPi 4b boards through their SPI pins ?
