Right that makes sense. But what does not make sense is how a keyboard/mouse plugged into the RPi would have a delay only when a VPN device is connected. I can try again with other devices this evening. Do far I've only tried with the tablet but can confirm if it's the specific client by trying a different app, different android device, laptop, etc. That would be a good 1st step anyway.
