Troubleshooting • Pi5 fan keep spinning after shutdown

I've spotted several threads discussing this issue but no one pointing to a fixing method that may work in my case. I have a headless Pi 5 with official Pi OS 64bit Lite, and only a DAC Pro card connected, I'm using it as a virtual piano. When I first installed it everything was fine: the fan was starting shortly after booting, then stops and keep stopped all time including after shutdown. I have the two cards installed in this nice case with rubber feet.

Few days ago doing some test the Pi5 suddently freezed and the power led turn orange. It happens a few times before I realize that most probably was caused by static electricity on me (got spark when touched a person), and everytime I touched the case I got the Pi5 freezing. I solved just by turning the case aside to avoid get it isolated by the feet, but after that I found that the fan turns on at shutdown and keep spinning. The device is now working perfect except for this annoying problems that force me to remove the power everytime I turn it off.

I changed POWER_OFF_ON_HALT=1 using rpi-eeprom-config but had not any effect.

I'm afraid I fried something in the card. Is there anything you may suggest me to debug this?
