Zero Ohm resistors are often used as optional links instead of jumpers etc. though.Possibly - that's the experiment I suggested above (removing the diode or removing the 0R0 or cutting the track, all equivalent).Would removing R1 the 0 ohm resistor taking the power to the Pico and then powering the Pico separately help?
But it's quite an expensive experiment to try (blowing up Picos!), and hard to get conclusive results.
Is the Pico dead and not just getting hot, so he turned it off? Also, would back EMF make it hot and not just kill it outright?
Could changing the timing once every PWM pulse mess up the library somehow?
Would the MAX hold button on a multimeter or one of the really cheap handheld oscilloscope work for detecting voltage spikes, or would it be too slow or something? Or couldn't you use the Pico to monitor the voltage, especially after adding the caps as you suggested?
