I don't use mount units either, although I did look at them at some point. There's a lot more richness and flexibility in the mount unit approach, but it does leave you with a group of separate files to manage/worry about. OTOH fstab has everything all in one place but lacking the feature richness of mount units.Using a systemd *.mount file means you MUST remove the /etc/fstab line.But, yeah, it might be worth a try though I'd probably remove or comment out the existing fstab entry when trying it.

Amusingly, the systemd.mount man page says "In general, configuring mount points through /etc/fstab is the preferred approach to manage mounts for humans."
Wondering what other kind of beings use this stuff?
