Why would I want vast tracks of wasted space? Feel free to explain it like I am 5.
Well it made sense for me when I built my Pi based NAS. Tidiest and easiest way to power and house a CM4, CM4IO, PCIe packet switch, 2 x SATA controllers, and a mix of 2.5" SSD, 2.5" HDD, and 3.5" HDDs.
Doesn't make sense to me as a competitor to a "noral" Pi case though.
