At least with Riverdi having declared this as a working set of timings and init sequence, the conversion process is relatively simple.There are some postings on using EK79007AD3 TCON on the forum, some have 'whatever' driver code added, none reported back on a working solution.
Minor miracle - a supplier who appears to actually provide genuine timings and init sequence for their panel! product and datasheet
Although the timings that they list in the FAQ don't meet those defined in that datasheet (pixel clock of 33MHz when min is supposedly 40.8MHz, and H back porch of 60 when thb is meant to be 160). Perhaps I've found the wrong product page as the FAQ doesn't quote any particular panel, just 7" using EK79007AD3+EK73217BCGA. The init sequence isn't quite the same (B2 10 missing bit 6 (0x40) compared to the lane select info in the datasheet, but otherwise can assume 2 lane).
